OK – my beloved Mad Men portrays us ad folk as chain smoking alcoholics with serious behavioral and moral problems and now CBS is launching a pilot with Robin Williams as an ad agency director called “The Crazy Ones”. My father told me in college to switch majors because I would never make any money in advertising but he never told me the profession also came with no respect for what we really do. Should be interesting to see what Williams does with this character.
